Essentials

You will need a piano to practice. An acoustic piano is ideal, but a good 88-keys keyboard with hammer action will work great.

(Ask Mr. Ulysses about pianos and keyboards if you need assistance)

It is essential that each student practice daily. Your teacher will help you learn how to practice and for how long. However, usually 20 minutes is a great start.

In Pianissimo Studio we work as a team to ensure progress and success.

  • The piano teacher is compromised to deliver quality piano content.
  • Parents set a routine for daily practice; five days a week works great. They also often check student’s practice assignments.
  • Students practice daily assignments and come to lesson well prepared.

Pianissimo Studio host Piano recitals where students can show and share with parents and family their progress and hard work. Recitals are at Steinway Hall and each one take place usually at the end of the Spring and Fall semesters.

This is a perfect time to give support and congratulate your child for their effort and performing in public.

A set of books are they way we learn and remember all practice instructions. These are examples of beginner to early intermediate books. Intermediate and advanced students usually get books with collection of pieces from different styles and composers

Please, consider that we have cats at home. They are sweet and usually from the piano area during lesson time.

This information is important in case your child is allergic to cat hair. Most of my students allergic to cats take an allergy pill before lesson, but check with your doctor first.
